The Network was formed in 1997 as a resource for church leaders looking for counselling from Christians for those in their pastoral care and also for individuals wishing to access counselling for themselves.
Network counsellors are all professionally qualified, and use a wide variety of theoretical counselling models. All are practising Christians.
The counsellors are independent practitioners and take responsibility for their own practice. All are accredited members (or working towards accreditation) of a professional body such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP), or the Association of Christian Counsellors, (ACC). Each counsellor works ethically within these guidelines, has regular supervision and is covered by professional indemnity insurance.
